The company trades on The Toronto Stock Exchange. It achieved revenue
growth of 27 per cent, from $45.9 million in 2006 to $58.1 million in
2007. Growth in the first and second quarters of 2008 was up 56 and 59
per cent, respectively, setting new records for the company.
While the Outback Guidance® products comprise 75 per cent of Hemisphere
GPS’s revenue, the company’s products have other industrial
applications in marine and aviation, with growth plans in other
vertical markets.
Hemisphere GPS continues to develop its intellectual property with a
total of 39 patents awarded or pending. The company continues to
collaborate with the University of Calgary on a number of research
programs.
“We are working together to make Calgary a centre of excellence in
geomatics,” Mr. Koles explains. “We are pushing the level of innovation
in what GPS can do in industrial markets.”
