Excellence in Science and Technology Public Awareness

This award recognizes a recipient whose project, activity or organization increases public awareness of the benefits of science and technology, or enhances the understanding of 

science and technology in Alberta. Nominees are judged by a special panel, selected from print and broadcast journalists and from the science and technology public relations community. 

Award: The recipient receives $5,000 and an ASTECH sculpture.

Written nomination submission should address the following criteria:

• How has the nominee increased public awareness of the benefits of science and technology or enhanced the understanding of science and technology in Alberta?
  
• How have they demonstrated leadership and creativity in reaching a target audience?
  
• What is the impact of the project or activity? How have local communities and Albertans in general benefited?
